Ingredients
- 1-14 ounce can chickpeas, drained (reserve ¼ cup of the liquid)
- ¼ cup tahini
- 1 lemon, juiced
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 2 tsp Om Lion’s Mane Mushroom Powder
- Pinch of salt and pepper, to taste
- 2 ice cubes
- 1 tbsp harissa paste
- 2 tbsp chopped green onion
- 1 tbsp chopped mint
- 1 tbsp chopped basil
- 2 tbsp extra virgin olive oil
- Crudites of choice, to serve
- Black sesame seeds, to garnish - optional
Directions
- Combine the chickpeas, reserved liquid, tahini, lemon juice, garlic, mushroom powder, a pinch of salt and pepper, and the ice cubes in a food processor. Pulse on high for about 1 minute, scraping the sides down as needed.
- Once it reaches a creamy and smooth texture, taste and add more salt and pepper if needed. Once done, set aside.
- In a small bowl add the harissa, green onion, mint, and basil.
- In a small saucepan, heat the olive oil over medium heat, just before it starts to simmer.
- Pour the hot oil over the harissa and herbs, and give it a good mix.
- Pour the hummus onto a serving platter and top with the herby harissa oil. Serve with your desired sliced veggies and enjoy!
